Speaking at the third and final day of Mahanadu, Chandra Babu came up with a prolonged speech about the state affairs, nation-wide politics, and the future prospects. Babu said that people are fed up with Modi and his reign as the prime minister of the country will come to an end in 2019. He added that people are looking for other legitimate leaders who can offer efficient and stable governance.
Interestingly, Babu said TDP will serve a greater cause from 2019 and prove its mark in the national politics but its main focus will stay on Andhra Pradesh. This may be an indication that CBN is looking forward to the third front that is gaining momentum with every passing day. If we observe the trends, Chandra Babu has been dropping subtle hints that he is ready to take up a crucial role in the establishment of the third front.
Speaking about AP, the TDP leader said that the opposition parties are trying to dethrone TDP in the 2019 elections. “I have a cadre of more than 70 lakh people, how can you expect me to be scared of your political games when I have such huge support? Babu questioned BJP.
If the current developments are anything to go by, Babu may take up bigger responsibilities and stay active in national politics, leaving state affairs to his son, Nara Lokesh. It needs to be seen if the idea of the third front can gain any public support and play a key role in the following elections.
