With only a few days left for its release, Vijaya Deverakonda’s bilingual NOTA has landed itself in a political controversy. Several activist communities are demanding that the film’s release should be stalled until after the general elections in the state.
These activist communities have alleged that the film is made for the benefit of a particular party in Telangana and is an indirect campaign for the upcoming elections. They wrote letters to the Election Comission, Union Home Minister, DGP and the governor to watch the film and then decide its release date.
After the success of Vijay’s recent film ‘Geetha Govindam’, people have high hopes for his next film and his Tamil debut NOTA. Stalling the release date after the promotions and trailer release can be a huge drawback for the film.
