The fight for Special Category Status(SCS) has given rise to massive reforms in Andhra Pradesh politics. Recently, Telugu Desam Party cut their ties with BJP, saying they failed to fulfill the SCS promise made in 2014 elections.
Interestingly, the latest developments suggest that YSR Congress party may join hands with BJP for 2019 elections. However, YSRCP chief, Jagan Mohan Reddy is sending completely contrasting messages to the center. Jagan recently said that their party will be passing the no-confidence motion in the parliament.
Confused with Jagan’s statement, Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandra Babu Naidu made some interesting comments. While speaking to his party’s MPs, Babu asked them to corner YSRCP in the parliament. Apparently, Babu has questioned how can Jagan pass the no-confidence motion, knowing BJP has enough members in their support.
What sort of result is Jagan expecting by passing the no-confidence motion even while knowing it cannot yield results? This is the main question being raised by many people.
