After a intense election drama, the JD(S) allied with the Congress made its way to take charge of Karnataka. But soon after, there were internal clashes between these two parties in the workings of the government.
Both the parties could not arrive at a singular decision in the allocation of the cabinet portfolio for several days. But finally both the parties seem to have worked out a way to come to a common conclusion.
Congress has now agreed that the key Finance portfolio would remain with the JD(S) while the Home department would be run by Congress. The Congress has also agreed to let Kumaraswamy be the Chief Minister of the state for a period of 5 years.
Apparently these parties would meet regularly to discuss the welfare and development of the state and take joint decisions. But it is known that such issues would arise in the future again as both the parties though allied have very different ideologies and working.
