It is clearly evident that BJP is doing all it can to gather enough members to cross the magic figure in Karnataka assembly. The saffron party leaders are not backing down to get into action directly in order to attract other party MLAs. Aware of the threat, Congress has made special arrangements on the cell phones of its MLAs that allow them to record the incoming and outgoing calls in their phones.
Interestingly, Congress released an audio clip of Gali Janardhan Reddy speaking with Congress MLA, Basavanna Gowda. Reportedly, Gali said that this is the right time to join BJP and make a fortune. He added that Basavanna can lead a settled life if he accepts the offer that will be made by the BJP high command.
The latest news is that Yeddyurappa’s son, Vijayendra spoke with Congress MLAs. Congress is claiming that Vijayendra personally made phone calls to BJP MLAs and offered them Rs 5 crores in cash along with a minister post. Congress stated that BJP leaders are going to any extent to attract other party MLAs and that is a clear violation of the constitutional rules.
The floor test is set to be held at 4 PM and there is no clarity about who will emerge victorious in the test.
