Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao hailed Vaasala Narsaiah, a writer based in Metpally in Jagityal district for getting the national award for Children’s literature.
The Chief Minister said it is befitting for Sri Narsaiah who authored several books, hundreds of stories for Children to get the prestigious award. He hoped that Sri Narsaiah would continue to pen stories for the Children, which will help them to imbibe good values in life.
The Chief Minister also expressed happiness over Ms Mercy Margaret for getting the Central Sahitya Academy award for literature under the Youth category. He said Ms Mercy’s poems which have reflected the sociological issues won all round appreciation. The CM said Ms Mercy who is working in Women’s Degree College in Kacheguda should continue her writing and win many more such awards.
