Deputy CLP leader T. Jeevan Reddy has accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao of pushing Telangana into huge debts.
Addressing a press conference at his residence in Jagtiyal on Sunday, Jeevan Reddy said while the overall debt of Telangana during erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh stood at Rs. 56,000 crore in 58 years, TRS Government borrowed Rs. 1.40 lakh crore in just four years. He said now every child born in Telangana is carrying a huge debt burden.
Jeevan Reddy also alleged that so far KCR Government has filled only 12,000 vacancies. He said most of the promises made by KCR were impossible to be implemented. He said Muslims and STs have been cheated with the promise of 12% reservation.
Speaking about Rythu Bandhu, he said that the scheme was benefitting the land lords. He said almost 62% farmers in Telangana own only 45 Guntas of land. Therefore, the initiative of Rs. 4,000 per acre was not at all helpful to them.
