Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has written a 5-page letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Jagan attack case.
The AP CM is said to have expressed his anger at the Centre for directing the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to take over the YS Jagan airport knife attack case.
Mr. Naidu opined in his letter that NIA should investigate cases of international and national importance, like the cases involving terrorists. Chandrababu in his letter quoted the Civil Aviation Act and quoted that the knife attack on the YSR Congress president at the Vishakapatnam airport was a very small case.
The TDP chief also wrote to the Prime Minister that Jagan’s case did not require the Home Ministry to involve the NIA in this matter. Mr. Naidu in his five-page letter also reminded Narendra Modi of a letter written by the latter during his time as Gujarat CM.
Narendra Modi in 2011 had written to the UPA government during his term as CM of Gujarat regarding the involvement of NIA in cases relating to the state.
