Telangana Congress working president Revnath Reddy is likely to contest the coming Lok Sabha polls from Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency.
Back in 2018, Revanth Reddy lost the Telangana state assembly polls to TRS leader P Narender Reddy.
Earlier, during the 2014 elections, Revanth Reddy was vying for a the Malkajgiri parliament ticket from TDP but was denied the ticket for unknown reasons. The TDP had instead allotted the Malkajgiri MP ticket to Mallareddy.
Malkajgiri is a coveted parliamentary constituency as it comprises of Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, Uppal, Medchal, LB Nagar, Secunderabad and Cantonment which boast of a substantial Andhra population.
According to political sources, the Congress is most likely to allot the Malkajgiri MP ticket to Revanth Reddy.
