Touted to be India’s costliest film till date, Robo 2.0 is releasing on November 29th. However, the buzz around the film is not up to the mark.
The latest we hear is that exhibitors are not daring to buy Robo 2.0 as they are suffering from the humongous losses incurred by Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan. The movie was sold for hefty prices and it failed to recover even 35% of the investment. This pretty much sums up the entire story.
Many exhibitors in North India are on the brink of selling their theaters to compensate for the losses left by the movie.
Now, the makers of Robo 2.0 are quoting fancy prices for the buyers and that is keeping everyone away from this movie. If this continues for a while, the producers will be left with no other option but to self-release the movie.
