Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas worked with some of the top technicians in the Tollywood film industry even before he tasted a solid hit at the box office. He is repeating a similar feat with his upcoming release, Saksham as well. This movie is promising to be a thrilling ride with adrenaline pumping action sequences and an engaging plot.
Here comes the interesting part. Reportedly, the movie was made on a budget of Rs 40 crores. However, the producer cannot sell the movie for such high praises, owing to the mediocre box office track record of Srinivas. Also, the director of the movie, Sriwass is yet to prove himself as a worthy filmmaker. With all this taken into consideration, the producer, Abhishek Nama sold the movie for 25 crores.
If we take a look at Bellamkonda’s market, none of his movies have collected have gone past the 25 crores mark. Even his previous release, Jaya Janaki Nayaka, which had Boyapati Seenu at the helm, collected a total of 22 crores in its full run. If everything falls into place for Saksham, it may end up collecting 23-25 crores. Anything above that would be a miracle, opine trade pundits.
All in all, Abhishek Nama, is in 15 crores deficit even before the release of the movie. We should wait and watch if he will see profits after the release of the movie.
