Earlier this week, when news broke out that Priyanka Chopra opted out of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bharat, owing to her engagement with Nick Jonas, it was widely reported that she parted ways with the team in an amicable manner. However, the latest rumours suggest that the makers of Bharat are extremely upset about these sudden turn of events.
A leading website has reported that Nikhil Namit, CEO of Reel Life Productions which is owned by Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, has gone on record to say that Priyanka is extremely unprofessional to leave the project at the last minute. He questioned why she had to delay informing them about her engagement. Her sudden decision has now resulted in a scheduling delay since the team has find a replacement for her.
Buzz is that the team is in talks with Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, and Kareena Kapoor to play the lead role opposite Salman Khan. The ambitious film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, also has Tabu, Disha Patani, and Nora Fatehi in lead roles.
