The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party leaders were up-in-arms after the state Principal Secretary (Agriculture) C Parthasarathi raised questions about one of KCR government’s most successful schemes, Rythu Bandhu.
IAS officer C Parthasarathi spoke to the media and questioned the durability of the Rythu Bandhu scheme and called it a “temporary” scheme.
The Rythu Bandhu scheme which provides Rs 5000 per acre, twice a year was one of KCR government’s most successful scheme and was also appreciated by the AP and Central governments as well. KCR’s Rythu Bandhu scheme was duplicated and adopted by the central government in its most recent budget session as well.
On the other hand, C Parthsarathi was questioned the extent and durability of this scheme in the long run as he opinioned that Rythu Bandhu was not a viable option for each and every year.
Sources reveal that the Agricultural Secretary’s words did not go down well with the TRS party leaders. It is also believed that Telangana CM KCR has also sought an explanation from Parthasarthi on this matter.
