Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former MLA Labbi Venkataswamy of Nandikotkur assembly constituency, joined the YSR Congress party today.
Labbi Venkataswamy met YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy at the Lotus Pond party office in Hyderabad and formally joined the opposition party.
Back in 2009, Labbi Venkataswamy won as a Congress MLA from Nandikotkur and later defected to the TDP after the state bifurcation.
According to sources, Nandikotkur youth leader Siddharth Reddy has played a key role in making Labbi resign from the TDP and join the YSRCP.
