Political rumors are rife that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief and Telangana CM KCR is likely to make an appeal to the people of Andhra Pradesh to vote for YS Jagan, in exchange for his support to the Federal Front.
TRS spokesperson Abid Rasool Khan told the media ” I personally feel the appeal which will be made by KCR and important leaders then will definitely have a percentage of voters who are either interested in Telangana or related to Telangana or look at Telangana as a model state to support Jagan. That’s a very big advantage that Jagan will get. We look to him (Jagan) to reciprocate by being part of the front and supporting us in times of national requirements like any fund, development…he will also support and we will have a healthy relationship like neighbors.”
It was also announced by the TRS that KCR would be meeting YSRCP president and opposition party leader YS Jagan in Andhra Pradesh this month.
Political analysts have predicted that the alliance of TRS and YSRCP would garner around 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh and 17 seats in Telangana, respectively.
Political analysts have also opinioned that Jagan’s support to KCR’s Federal Front would turn it into a force to reckon with in both the Telugu states and at the center as well.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had also announced last month that he would be canvassing for Jagan in Andhra Pradesh.
