The word of mouth for Ravi Teja’s latest release, Nela Ticket, is one to forget for the senior actor and his followers. The movie is being bashed by all sections of the audience for its beaten to death story and age-old narrative style. If this is anything to go by, Ravi Teja has scored a bigger disaster than his previous movie, Touch Chesi Choodu.
This comes as a rude shock to the Mythri Movie Makers who are currently on a success streak with movies like Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, and Rangasthalam up their ranks. Interestingly, Mythri Movie Makers have signed Ravi Teja for 2 projects under their banner. These movies will be directed by Sreenu Vaitla and Santhosh Srinivas who are currently struggling to find any sort of momentum. The buzz is that the makers have agreed to pay Ravi Teja a remuneration of Rs 15 crores for both these projects.
It needs to be said that Ravi Teja’s market has gone down drastically and that was clearly evident after the disastrous run of Touch Chesi Choodu. Mythri Movie Makers have taken a huge gamble by roping in Ravi Teja, not for one, but 2 movies. It would be interesting to watch if MMM can pull this off or Ravi Teja will end the glorious run of the successful production house.
