Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, who has been dilly-dallying about his political future has finally put an end to speculations by joining YSR Congress party. The senior leader met the party chief, Jagan Mohan Reddy yesterday and switched loyalties from TDP to YCP.
Here comes the interesting part. Anam is a prominent leader from the Nellore region and can be useful for the party in the following elections. His inclusion is a big move in the current political scenario and the party forces are very much aware of that.
However, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, one of the senior most leaders in the party was nowhere to be seen when Anam joined YCP along with his cadre.
Apparently, Mekapati is feeling that Anam’s inclusion can loosen his stronghold in the region and that is why he skipped the event, said a political expert.
It needs to be seen if these 2 prominent leaders can set aside their power games and work towards the progress of the party in the following days.
