Andhra Pradesh opposition leader, YS Jagan is currently a busy man, preparing strategies to dethrone the TDP government in 2019 elections. He has amassed a great following amongst all sections of the public through his Pada Yatra. The main question here is. will this single strategy be enough to come to power in 2019?
If we take a look at other political leaders, Pawan Kalyan is slowly turning into a potential kingmaker in Andhra Pradesh. His Praja Poraata Yatra is an instant success as his fans and followers have been flooding the events both in Rayalaseema and Uttharandhra. If he manages to continue this momentum, he will surely be a key figure during the 2019 general elections.
On the other hand, the chief minister of the state, Chandra Babu is busy holding Dharma Poraata deekshas against the central government. The yellow party is sincerely trying to add some sort of pressure on the center and is mildly successful in creating an impression that Jagan and Pawan are cheating the state by supporting BJP. TDP boasts of a rock solid cadre and will look to make the most out of their experience in the following elections.
With every prominent leader showing signs of progress, the onus is on Jagan to come back strong if he wants YCP to succeed. Simply going on a walkathon, criticising Chandra Babu government will yield the least possible results. It needs to be seen if Jagan will bring up the heat and strengthen his odds of becoming the next chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
