Director Boyapati Srinu suffered from not being able to finalise a leading lady for his upcoming film Akhanda, with Nandamuri Balakrishna. He approached several heroines, but all of them rejected the film. Post that, he roped in a Malayalam heroine, but then scrapped the entire scenes shot with her, as he wasn’t satisfied with the output.
He finally roped in Pragya Jaiswal and Poorna as the leading ladies of the film. Director Gopichand Malineni who recently delivered a blockbuster in the form of Krack is all set to direct Balakrishna in his next. The director approached Rakul and Shruti, but both of them rejected the film citing scheduling conflicts.
Sources now say that the director has managed to rope in Trisha and that only the official confirmation is left out. Trisha previously paired up with Balakrishna in Lion. Gopichand seems to have been able to avert the problem that Boyapati faced, for now.
