All the films that have been released for Sankranthi have been doing well, despite the Coronavirus pandemic restrictions still in place. Tollywood has certainly gotten a breath of relief with these films performing well.
However, conclusions cannot be drawn yet, as there’s still a long way to go. The upcoming summer season, and especially February and March will be highly crucial for Tollywood, as a lot depends on that.
It is important that Tollywood plans continuous releases in these months, to estimate how much of a footfall films will continue to attract, and to be able to get back to how things were, before the lockdown, at least as far as the theater business is concerned.
