Sai Dharam Tej’s upcoming film Solo Brathuke So Better has a decent buzz surrounding it. Initially, everyone thought that the movie would be released on an OTT platform, but with the Government of India giving permission to re-open theaters, Zee Network is said to be fixated upon releasing the film in theaters.
Zee Network has bought all the right of the film, including satellite, theatrical and digital rights. Zee Network is said to have waited a long time to fins a suitable distributor to sell SBSB, but no one turned up. At last, UV distributors are said to have shown interest in buying the film. However, the film has sold only for Rs. 8 Crores, due to Coronavirus, and keeping in mind the lack of guarantee of the revenue the film may generate because of the pandemic.
SBSB is said to be releasing on December 25th, and many are saying that the film will be a test for how audiences will react to going back to theaters, and how things will have changed. Looks like Sai Dharam Tej’s film has become a scapegoat for the future of releasing film in theaters, at least for now.
