Rajamouli’s RRR release date has been postponed several times due to several reasons, including Coronavirus. The most recently announced release date of RRR is October 13th. However, due to the second wave, it is highly unlikely that RRR will be released on schedule.
On the other hand, it is now being speculated that the release of Pushpa will be postponed from August to October 13th, if RRR is not released on October 13th. Pushpa is also said to be heading towards being made in two parts, with one part being released this year, and the second part being released next year.
Baahubali and NTR: Kathanayakudu, NTR: Mahanayakudu have been the only two films in Tollywood to have a dual part release so far. Sources say that Sukumar is planning to end the first part of Pushpa on a cliffhanger, surrounding Fahadh Faasil’s role, who is playing the antagonist in the film.
