Until now, Tollywood has seen many releases, and most of the films turned out to be immensely successful. Tollywood set the stage for other film industries in India, by being the most profitable and successful film industry in the country, after the lockdown.
However, the real test for Tollywood is now ahead, with big-budget films about to release for the summer. With Coronavirus once again spreading rapidly, it is now to be seen how Tollywood will fare in the upcoming days.
Vakeel Saab is the biggest of the bunch, with the film releasing on April 9th. It will be followed by Sekhar Kammula’s “Love Story (April 16), Nani’s “Tuck Jagadish” (April 23), Rana and Sai Pallavi starrer “Virata Parvam” (April 30), and Vishwak Sen’s “Paagal” (May 1st), all of which are mid-range movies. Then, Megastar’s Acharya is scheduled to release on May 13th, followed by Venkatesh’s Naarappa on May 14th. This will be followed by Ravi Teja’s “Khiladi” and Balakrishna’s “BB3”, both of which are scheduled to release on May 28th.
All of these summer films put together, Tollywood has nearly 500 Crores at stake. Here’s hoping that all of these films turn out to be immensely successful and that Tollywood does good business this summer.
