Yesterday, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that everyone aged above 18 years will be vaccinated free of cost. Andhra Pradesh became the first state to announce free vaccination for all.
Now, the chief minister of the other Telugu state K Chandrasekhar Rao has made a similar announcement.
“Each and every individual in Telangana aged above 18 will be vaccinated free of cost. I will personally monitor the vaccination drive. I am allotting Rs 2500 crores for the vaccine procurement process,” he said.
KCR further added that nothing is more important than health and he is ready to make even bigger financial contributions to improve the healthcare infrastructure in Telangana.
Well, the governments of both the Telugu states have announced free vaccination for individuals aged above 18. The vaccination drive will start on 1st May.
