The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called for a meeting with his cabinet ministers today and it will be starting at 11 AM. This cabinet meeting has attained great prominence in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases, uncertainty over sand policy, etc.
Apparently, 5 key points will be coming to discussion in the cabinet meeting today.
Covid-19 outbreak and the current situation in Andhra Pradesh will be the main point that will come to discussion. Setting up new testing centers, treatment facilities, and arresting the spread of the virus will be discussed.
Also, improving the medical infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh and the implementation of Arogya Sri scheme will come to discussion. Jagan is also willing to finalize the sand policy, owing to the sand shortage crisis in the state.
The state government’s prestigious implementation, ‘Naadu Nedu’ as a part of which government schools are being renovated will also be discussed in detail. This scheme will be coming to effect from thsi academic year itself and related works are being completed at a quick pace.
The formation of new districts Andhra Pradesh will be another key point. Jagan had already announced that the state government is planning to develop every district headquarters as an individual district. He might be speaking about the same in today’s cabinet meeting.
The cabinet is likely to take huge decisions regarding the above-mentioned topics today. We can expect more clarity once the meeting is over.
