The arrest of YSRCP member and Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, by the Andhra Pradesh CID, is causing a major political stir all over the country. While RRR, his lawyers and his family members are repeatedly stressing that RRR went through hell while under the AP CID’s custody, the AP CID is strongly trying to prove that nothing of that sort happened.
The AP CID has released a statement, which says that the Army Hospital’s report goes along the same lines as the report given by the GGH hospital in Vijayawada. After the GGH hospital’s report said that RRR did not sustain any major injuries, he was shifted to Guntur jail.
RRR’s lawyers then approached the Supreme Court, which directed the AP CID to take RRR to Secunderbad’s Army Hospital, where he was examined. The Army Hospital’s report said that RRR sustained a fracture in his toe. It is now to be seen what sort of political repercussions this will result in.
