The chief secretary of Telangana has confirmed that the chief minister of the state, K Chandrasekhar Rao has been tested positive for Covid.
“It is hereby informed that the Hon Chief Minister Sri K Chandrasekhar Rao has been tested positive for Covid-19. He has mild symptoms,” the statement read.
KCR is currently being treated at his farmhouse in Gajwel, Telangana.
A team of doctors appointed by the government of Telangana is monitoring KCR’s health and more details about the same will be made public very soon.
KCR is the third South Indian chief minister to contract Covid after BS Yediyurappa(Karnataka chief minister) and Pinarayi Vijayan(Kerala chief minister).
