It didn’t come as a surprise to many when AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu extended an alliance to the opposition Congress party to defeat common enemy BJP. But this alliance was not taken well by some leaders in TDP and Congress parties.
As expected, leaders against this alliance have already announced resignations. Congress Senior leader Vatti Vasantha Rao has announced his withdrawal from the party citing his disapproval towards the alliance with TDP. But reportedly, the resignation is not yet accepted and party leadership is trying to convince the former minister.
The gesture of Chandra Babu has received flak from several sectors of citizens and opposition parties who criticized the TDP Chief of betraying people by joining hands with the ultimate enemy. According to reports, several leaders in TDP are showing signs of quitting after this incident.
