It is already known that the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had cut down the salaries of government employees by over 50% for the past two months. This decision was taken to support the state finances, which took a serious beating due to the lockdown that was imposed since Coronavirus outbreak.
Incidentally, the government of Andhra Pradesh has delivered some very good news to employees today.
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered financial and treasury department to provide full salaries to government employees from this month itself. All the employees will be receiving their full salaries for the month of May also.
It is already known that the government of Andhra Pradesh had announced that they will be providing full salaries to police department and healthcare workers. There won’t be any change in this regard.
