Corona: AP’s tally mounts to 2514, but 50% recovery rate

As per the latest medical bulletin released by the government of Andhra Pradesh the total number of Coronavirus positive cases has gone past 2500 mark. The tally mounted to 2514 with 62 new cases being reported in the past 24 hours.

What is impressive is that Andhra Pradesh is posting over a 50% recovery rate. In fact, the recovery rate is much better than 50. Of the total 2514 positive cases, 1731 people have been cured and discharged to date. A total of fewer than 800 cases are still active.

A total of 55 people have lost their lives till now. The mortality rate is around 2.5%.

Coming to the nation-wide numbers, India registered its biggest ever spike in the number of new cases. Over 6000 cases were reported on the country in the past 24 hours and this is the first time India registered over 6000 cases in a single day.
