Coronavirus: AP – 1% infection rate, Telangana – 9.4%

The Coronavirus infection rate in Andhra Pradesh is one of the lowest in the country. The chief minister of the state YS Jagan Mohan Reddy recently said the infection rate is 0.95% in the state.

However, the situation is completely contrasting in the twin Telugu state, Telangana.

The infection rate in Telangana is roughly around 9.4% which is one of the highest in the country. A total of around 33,000 tests were performed in the state till date and 3020 cases were reported till now.

Andhra Pradesh has performed over 4 lakh Coronavirus tests in the state till now. The number of cases in the state has breached 4000 mark. The state is continuing to perform tests at state borders to each and every individual entering into Andhra Pradesh.

Incidentally, Telangana RTC is all set to resume bus services in GHMC area from June 8th. There is no update regarding inter-state transportation yet.
