Coronavirus: India’s first vaccine to start human testing very soon

Ever since Coronavirus broke out on a wide scale in the world, scientists and researchers all around the world have been trying to develop a vaccine that would put an end to this disastrous pandemic.

The USA based Moderna and Oxford University’s vaccines has been the first in the world to show impressive results and proceed with human testing. Oxford University is now the first vaccine in the world to reach the final stages of its testing. If things work out well, then the world will see a vaccine by September or October.

On the other hand, India is now about to witness its very first vaccine to proceed with human trials. The vaccine is called COVAXIN and is being developed by Bharat Biotech in association with ICMR and the National Institute of Virology.

The DCGI has given permission for human testing, and the trials are said to begin from July 2020.
