For the last two days, all the students living in Hyderabad hostels were lining up in front of Police Stations to get passes so that they can go to their hometowns. This is because the hostel owners have refused to be functional during this coronavirus crisis.
In view of this, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has ordered all the hostel establishments to keep working even during this crisis. The Police Department has now stopped issuing passes for all the students.
The whole of India is currently in a state of lockdown for 21 days, till April 14th. If the situation worsens, then the lockdown might be extended further.
