The number of Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in India, having almost touched the mark of 5.5 Lakhs so far. Even as the recovery rate is a little of 58%, that is alone not enough for the country to come out of this pandemic unscathed.

A few states have been the worst affected in the country, having contributed to more than 70% of the total number of cases. Maharashtra is the most affected state, with Mumbai being the worst affected within the state.

The government of Maharashtra has now announced a total lockdown in the state till July 31st, to curb the spread of the virus.

The government of Telangana is also mulling over the possibility of imposing a total lockdown in the the state, especially in Hyderabad. This is because of the alarming rate wat which the cases are increasing in the state, especially in Hyderabad. A final decision on the lockdown will be taken and announced in the next 2-3 days.
