The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken a big decision pertaining to the second wave of Covid. He has ordered his subordinates and council of ministers to ensure the testing rate is ramped up in the state.
On an average, a total of around 40,000-45,000 people are being tested for Covid in Andhra Pradesh per day now.
The state government has decided to ramp up the testing process immediately. A medical team of 113 members were deployed for the same reason.
From now on, not less than 60,000 Covid tests will be performed in the state. This decision is taken in the wake of surge in Covid cases across the state.
It is known that Jagan had already announced everyone aged above 18 will be vaccinated free of cost and the state government has commenced background works for the same.
