Disha Case: Accused Played games during investigation

The four people, who were accused of raping and murdering Hyderabad Veterinarian Disha, were said to have blamed each other when they were brought for investigation by the police.

Mohammed Arif (26), Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen and Ch. Chennakeshavulu, all aged about 20 — blamed each other for instigating the rape, when they were all questioned.

The accused four people were killed in an encounter by the Police on December 6th.

While Arif said that the other three initiated it, the other three had confidently stated that it was Arif who initiated it.

One of the accused told a police officer that they carried the victim by hand after they parked their lorry on the highway. Another said that they took the victim under the bridge, in their lorry.

At no point did any of their statements match with the other all through the investigation.

Even on the morning of their encounter, they tried to escape the police and fired back at them with police pistols. They snatched two pistols from the police after they attacked them with stones and sticks. Fifteen minutes later, they were encountered.
