Telugu Desam Party failed to bag even a single MLA seat in Kadapa district in 2019 election. In fact, all of YSRCP candidates won by humongous margins.
Chandrababu planned to rejuvenate the party in Kadapa under senior leader, Adinarayana Reddy’s leadership, but this did not work out quite as planned.
Adinarayana Reddy has been staying away from TDP activities after the polls and recently said that he will be joining in BJP.
Today, Adinarayana Reddy left TDP and joined BJP in the presence of JP Nadda.
Now, Telugu Desam Party will find it extremely tough to hold its ground in Kadapa district. YCP is proving to be just too strong for TDP in YS Jagan’s home district and it might as well be game over for TDP in Kadapa, say political analysts.
