The hugh court of Andhra Pradesh has cancelled the government of Andhra Pradesh’s Government Order regarding the suspension of State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh.

A few weeks ago, the government of Andhra Pradesh stated that it is firing SEC Ramesh, saying he is irrational and supporting the opposition party, Telugu Desam.

Today, the high court cancelled the government order and said Nimmagadda Ramesh should be taken back to duty.

Incidentally, the government of Andhra Pradesh is unhappy with the high court’s decision. YSRCP official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said the government of Andhra Pradesh will be challenging high court’s decision in the supreme court.

Interestingly enough, this is the 65th time the high court of Andhra Pradesh has cancelled a GO that was passed by the YSRC government. This surely is an interesting statistic.
