In a one of its kind incident in India, 8 lions from the Hyderabad Jawaharlal Nehru Zoological Park have tested positive for Coronavirus. These lions had reportedly fallen extremely ill for the past few days, and upon testing, their results came positive.

Samples of these lions were tested for coronavirus after it was reported that it was possible for Coronavirus to spread from humans to lions. As soon as the Zoo authorities found out that the lions were positive for Corona, they isolated these lions from the rest of the lions, and put each of them in isolation.

Zoo authorities are now making sure that every animal in the zoo is safe so that no animal’s health would be at risk. Veterinary doctors are said to have sprung into immediate action, trying to treat the lions the best way they can.
