The managing director of HMRL, N.V.S. Reddy has recently submitted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the second phase of Hyderabad Metro. This phase will cover RGIA, and it will be connected to Nagole and Raidurg as well. The second phase of the metro is also expected to have three corridors. These are Lakdikapul to RGIA, L.B. Nagar to Nagole, and Raidurg to RGIA.
The metro line of about 5km to Old City has also been included in this report.
The groundwork of phase 2 of the metro has already begun, as soon as the 1st phase was opened.
