The entire world is currently adopting brand new preventive measures to reduce the risk of being infected by Coronavirus. These measures are sure to be a part of all of our daily lives for a long time to come.

Airports, restaurants and other public places are now using thermal scanners to test the temperatures of all those coming in. These thermal scanners were initially developed to check temperatures of large machines. Hence, these thermal scanners can’t be completely depended upon to give us accurate results of a human’s temperature.

Now, Hyderabad based start-up company BlueSemi has developed a hands-free thermal scanner to specifically check human temperatures. The thermal scanner is called neem.

This is the first hands-free thermal scanner in the world, to have been developed specifically for human testing.
