A few weeks ago, TDP senior leader and MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao resigned his MLA post. He stated that his resignation is a form of protest against the privatisation of Vizag steel plant. But many believed that he is not in the best of terms with the TDP high command and that is the reason why he resigned.
Cut to now, Ganta’s close friend Kasi Viswanath has quit TDP and joined in the ruling party YSRC today.
Kasi Viswanath met with YSRCP senior leader Vijayasai Reddy earlier today and joined the YS Jagan-led party. A few other supporters of Ganta have also joined YSRCP.
Well, it appears to be that the stage is set for Ganta to switch loyalties and join the ruling party YSRC very soon. He is said to be waiting for the nod from the YSRCP high command and is ready to join Jagan’s party whenever prompted.
This should come as a big blow to TDP which is already struggling to keep hold of its key leaders in Andhra Pradesh.
