Earlier today, the governor of Andhra Pradesh passed the three capitals bills and cancelled the CRDA act. Andhra Pradesh officially has three capitals namely, Amaravati, Vizag, and Kurnool now.

Going by the latest reports, the YCP government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has locked the date for capital shifting process.

A formal pooja ceremony will be held at the chief minister’s camp office in Vizag on the occasion of independence day, August 15th. This will mark the commencement of capital shifting process and it will be carried in a step-by-step manner.

Amaravati will be the legislative capital of Andhra Pradesh while Vizag and Kurnool will be developed as the executive and judicial capitals respectively.

The High court of Andhra Pradesh will be built and developed in Kurnool now.

Meanwhile, Telugu Desam Party has been breathing fire on the YCP government for shifting the capital from Amaravati. The party leaders are saying that Jagan is cheating the farmers in Amaravati region.
