Telangana IT minister K Tarakarama Rao made an interesting comment while speaking about Covid-19 spread in the state and the measures that are being taken by the state government.
“Covid-19 will be around for a few more months. It is really important that all of us stay vigilant in these tough times. Especially, public representatives should stay alerted and they must be quick to react in case of an emergency,” he said.
Well, 3-4 TRS MLAs had already contracted coronavirus and recovered. KTR is now advising public representatives to take proper precautionary measures.
Previously, KTR said he wishes to see Telangana as a Covid-free state, but that doesn’t seem to be possible in the near future.
Notably, Telangana government is being criticized for its poor Covid-19 testing rate. The state is performing one of the lowest number of tests per million population in the entire country.
Earlier today, BJP senior leader, Kishan Reddy said Covid-19 patients are roaming free on the streets after being advised to stay home quarantined. He urged the state governments to look into the issue.
