TDP has been losing many of its key and integral leaders to BJP and the ruling party YSRC in Andhra Pradesh. If the latest reports are to be believed, there might be a new addition to the list of leaders who are leaving TDP sooner or later.
Reportedly, Bhuma Akhila Priya who is one of the firebrand leaders in TDP might be leaving the party very soon and join the Jagan-led party. This could come as a big blow to TDP as Akhila Priya has been an important leader for the party in Kurnool district.
Akhila Priya sees no future in TDP and that is the reason why she is planning to join YSRCP.
Akhila Priya’s mother Shobha Nagireddy was a trusted associate of YS Jagan and she was one of the first leaders to walk behind Jagan after he left TDP and floated YSRCP. He might let Akhila Priya to join his party out of courtesy towards her mother.
Akhila Priya is expected to meet with Jagan sooner or later and then switch loyalties. It is known that Jagan’s YCP swept all 14 of the MLA seats in Kurnool district in 2019 elections.
