Yesterday, TDP announced that it will not be contesting in the forthcoming MPTC and ZPTC elections. This came as a big surprise to many TDP supporters.
Now, TDP’s decision to not contest in the elections is coming back to haunt them big time.
Today, Jyothula Nehru, who is one of the key leaders of Telugu Desam Party in East Godavari district has resigned his post.
Nehru cited that Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to avoid MPTC and ZPTC elections is unacceptable and that is the reason why he is leaving the party.
This surely is one strange reason to lose integral leaders and TDP leaders are scratching their heads so as to how to respond to this unexpected development.
Losing a leader for not contesting in an election could well be a one-of-a-kind occurrence in Andhra Pradesh politics.
