TDP not to contest in ZPTC elections, cites a strange reason

As we had reported a few days ago, Telugu Desam Party has decided not to contest in the forthcoming MPTC and ZPTC elections. The party will be issuing an official statement regarding the same in the next couple of days.

TDP is saying that the party is not contesting in MPTC and ZPTC elections as the ruling party is misusing its power to manipulate the polls.

Meanwhile, the ruling party YSRC supporters are saying that TDP does not even have enough candidates to field in the ZPTC elections and that is the reason why they are not contesting.

Not contesting in a mainstream election can show adverse effects on Telugu Desam Party in the days to come but the party high command is ready to take this risk for some strange reason.

With TDP out of the equation, YCP which was already the clear cut favourite to sweep the polls will be putting on a unanimous show in the elections.

MPTC and ZPTC elections are scheduled to be held on 8th of this month and the results will be out on 10th.
