The fact that Hyderabad continues to be the common capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is inarguable. However, patients coming to Hyderabad from AP, for coronavirus treatment are not being allowed to enter the state of Telangana, as per the government’s orders.
The Telangana High Court today questioned the state government the reason for not allowing those patients into Hyderabad for treatment. Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy questioned the government officials, asking them to list out the reason for this stoppage. They also called these actions as inhumane.
Furthermore, the HC also expressed its disappointment towards the government in the way it was handling the pandemic and questioned why the state wasn’t ramping up the testing. On the other hand, the Telangana government imposed a 10 day lockdown in the state today, starting from May 12th, up to May 22nd.
