Telugu Desam Party MLC, B.Tech Ravi resigned his post yesterday in protests against the YCP government’s three capitals proposal.
Going by the latest buzz in social media, Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, along with other TDP MLAs might also be resigning their posts.
TDP wants to intensify the fight for Amaravati and the party high command feels the best way to achieve it is by asking their party MLAs to resign their posts. This would give the Amaravati issue more exposure.
This is just a speculation for now and more clarity is expected in the near future.
Well, the real possibility of Chandrababu and his fellow MLAs resigning their posts is not much. The party had just 23 MLA seats and 3-4 of them are already in touch with YCP. If TDP MLAs resign their posts and a by-election is held, it might yield adverse effects for the party.
Nevertheless, TDP wants to make Amaravati issue a burning topic and they are willing to take extreme measures for the same.
