YSR Congress president and Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy is now said to be focusing on the selection process of candidates for the next elections.
After the successful completion of his 14-month long Padayatra, Jagan now faces the challenge of finding suitable candidates for the Lok Sabha constituencies from within his party.
Sources close to the YSRCP supremo from within his party say that Jagan has already cleared the names of candidates for around 110-120 assembly segments out of the 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh. The sources also added that YS Jagan is seriously contemplating the names of party candidates for the Lok Sabha elections before deciding on the assembly candidates.
The YSRCP leader is said to be searching for financially strong candidates for the Lok Sabha polls who can also share the load from assembly candidates.
According to sources, YSRCP is yet to find candidates who will be pitted against TDP from strongholds like Kurnool, Hindupure, Nandyal and Ananthapuram. Jagan is said to have already decided on the names of strong candidates for crucial constituencies like Vijayawada, Vishakapatnam, Kakinada and Eluru.
